What’s the answer to the unanswerable question? What happens when an unstoppable force meets immovable object? They yield.
Guess what's missing? the immovable object won. If both yield, the immoveable object wins. The “unstoppable” force stops. The immovable remains unmoved.
Why? “Unstoppable” forces are fueled by momentum. Momentum dies the moment the energy leaves the room, the moment things aren’t going the way it was supposed to go, and moment it finds resistance.
Immovable objects are fueled by courage. Courage only increases when things are uncertain and dangerous. Courage requires fear to manifest and that same fear fuels resolve to stand firm. Courage is ready for things to go wrong; courage is ready for the storm and is ready the unstoppable. Courage by definition is having fear and still performing despite the fear. Despite the danger or the uncertain. It accepts that it could all go wrong yet holds its ground, remains, defies and is unmoved.
Courage always beats momentum. The Immoveable will always out last the unstoppable. Afghanistan has out lasted the 2 greatest world powers in the USSR and the USA. Israel is unmoved despite all its neighbors trying to overthrow it. The principle applies is business, sport, trade, family, and faith. The unmoved, the courageous remain, the “unstoppable” momentum fades away.
“No matter how the wind howls. The mountain cannot bow to it” – Disney’s Mulan.
Be courageous, Be defiant, and Be unmoved.
